The 2010 Housing Design Award winners were announced at a lunchtime ceremony at The Banqueting House, Whitehall, London on 8th July.

The deadline for RSVPs to this year’s Housing Design Awards ceremony has now passed.
Entry badges will be posted to confirmed attendees prior to the ceremony.

The shortlist for the 2010 Housing Design Awards was announced on Friday 28th May. Representatives from each shortlisted scheme will soon be invited to the lunchtime award ceremony at The Banqueting House in Whitehall, London on 8th July.

The official announcement of the Housing Design Awards 2010 shortlist will now be made after a new Housing Minister has been appointed in May.
Invitations to the awards ceremony on 8th July will be issued to shortlisted parties shortly after the announcement.

The 2010 deadline for entries has now passed and we are currently processing them ready for the judging. A record number of entries have been received and the quality of entries looks high. The shortlist will be revealed at the end of April and will form the Exhibition of Excellence to be showcased at the awards ceremony on the 8th July.

The new Housing Design Awards website is now fully functional with online entry and payment facilities available from today. Users can purchase scheme entries, fill out entry forms and upload A1 board artwork directly through the site.

Gareth Capner has been appointed chair of the Housing Design Awards. He replaces Graham Pye who died suddenly in 2009. Gareth was the first planning associate to join architects Barton Willmore in 1979, helping grow the practice when he became senior partner to become one of the country’s largest multidisciplinary housing specialists employing more than 300 staff. Gareth has been chosen for his awareness of the role both architecture and planning play in new housing.
